Sleep Where Art Thou
It seems sleep eludes me

I’m on layaway for sleep

They say it’s the sister of death
if I don’t get any I’ll be meeting death instead

Yes not getting any sleep may possibly be the death of me

I spend my waking moments helping
others instead of helping myself

I make sure others needs are met before mine

I work in a profession where I constantly have to give and sacrifice my mental health

People become my burden like Atlas it feels like I have the world on my back

DUMBSTRUCK
I am dumbstruck by the statistics of crime in South Africa
What are we people doing as a nation?
Can we not live an honest and productive life?
Why must we take the easy way out?
We cannot even work respectfully
For we revert to our sinister ways once more
Quick to heap up the cash flow
By doing the unthinkable and resulting in many suffering
But your wrongdoing will not be left unhinged
For when you are caught you will face the consequences that follow
I am dumbstruck by the statistic...

Wild Bill Entertainer

Untimely
Make the most of what you've got
Life could end tomorrow,
Same goes for a loved one
Their death could leave you sorrow.

Take time out from busy schedule
Give someone a call,
Do not wait I promise this
You'll cry the day they fall.

Nothing but a Dream
If life is nothing
but a dream
let's draw it
on a winding stream
If love is a fleeting ecstasy
let's recite it
over an immense sea
If beauty is a joy
we treasure forever
we'll bury it
in our heart
like a flower in amber

The Distance between Us

The distance between us
seems as though
you're a pretty romantic cloud
born to wander
in the sky blue
forever and ever
and I'm a small rippling river
lying by a meadow
with bright splashes of...

Crown of Success
Happen today
Great success
Nice to say
Great promesse

Happy to guess
What in the press
Best success
Great happiness

Congratulation
Best application
In the heart, in the ocean
Feel the notion

Good process
Crown of success
My lovely Prince
I feel the mess

For good prize
There is a price
You did the nice

Best achievement
Nice appeasement

Warmth
There are days where I wonder if my love will be enough
But everyday you show me that your love is
What I deserve
It brings me back to Earth
And there will always be more lives to come
Where you and I will collide
And there will be nothing but an ocean of touch that coincides with mine
But today
In crowded coffee shops
I hear people say "They feel like sunshine"
And I always think of you

The Maverick ( I Feel The Need For Expression)
Please take it easy, please stay in your comfort zone

Please don’t push the envelope, please color within the lines

Please walk on eggshells and please try not to step on any toes

Lastly please be like minded and please don’t ever pose a threat

No I can’t do it and I won’t apologize about it I’m not from Dallas but I’m still a maverick

No I don’t fly an F-14 Tomcat but I’m still a maverick yes I’m a Top Gun and I’m gunning for greatness

Like a golfer I got drive and I’ll k...

THE LAST GLIMPSE OF DAY
She sits alone on a porch swing
Savoring the moments, the daylight brings

A breathtaking spring day…it had been
In the moors of land, in a fertile glen

Walking the pasture, early morn in stride
Thrilled to see a mare, her colt by her side

White horse galloping, black mane tossing in the wind
Neighing as she traveled, calling her newborn kin

Wild daffodils, tulips, and lupines… speckled the green
A true vision to behold, a joy to have seen

Inhaling the scents, of floral mixed...

THE UNSOLICITED CRITIC
Critics
Readily verbalize
Their unsolicited opinions
Faulting their fellow writers
Do they produce for scrutinizing?

Publicly expounding on their views
Flaunting their biased intellect
Demeaning rhetorical banter
Superficially inflating
Self

Produce
Your writings
For literary analysis
For peers to peruse
Naked writings of proposed perfection

Is their astute value inflated
By an intellect isolated
Within the caverns
Of your
Mind

IN MY DREAMS
He came to me in a dream, greeting me with a smile
A few stolen moments, I was with him content and beguiled

Gazing into his liquid pools, I was at a loss for words
Speaking jewels, I longed to hear, before they were unheard

Happy to finally be in his presence, this man who I adored
Only a dream, this time together was all we could afford

To touch his face tenderly, with my soft hand I caressed
Lips met, and our kiss danced, twas heavenly I must confess

Although only minutes, i...

We’ve had all the fight’s we’re going to have.
Poem #2,691 We’ve had all the fights we’re going to have.

We’ve had all the fights we’re going to have, so let us now remember how it used to be, before the bills, before the children and yes, even before the love. I want us to venture back in heart and mind right now, to way back when, way back when we only liked one another and that like was more than enough to satisfy what we both expected at the time. I used to talk to you all night long on the telephone but what you didn’t know, is I pla...

Promo( I Need Followers)
know this isn’t Twitter but I need followers

When it comes to self pity I’m not apart of the wallowers

I’m not trying to build a brand I’m just trying to build a legacy biologically I am a father
But I want my poetry to go farther

Like this current inflation I’m trying to stretch my poetry like a dollar no nickel and diming just working on my pitch and timing

When I see red it has nothing to do with MAGA l just wanna promote PGA no not golf but what I’m driving at is making P...

Stop Bullying
Something seems fuzzy
A call to take it easy
Advice to feel breezy
Smell the Flower Daisy
Be friendly not be lazy

Violence, bullying I see
Friendly you have to be
Take it easy you and me
Your smile mustn't flee

Don't bullying,
Avoided laughing
Hated flaunting

Bullying creates pression
Hinders our noble mission
Gives nasty impression

bullying is a bad act
Has an ugly impact

Deteriorates our values
These are bad news

Bullying is impoliteness
Lacks mind fitness...

Without You
It is like the sound of dry desert wind without you
Seeking the solace of a distant oasis.
The rustle of dry autumn leaves
Swirling aimlessly across cobbled streets.

It is like smell of scorched earth without you
Pining for that first spell of rain.
Weary, sleepless eyes scanning the pages of
Time, while the hourglass runs sharp.

It is like unearthed fossils
Dead so much inside
That even a miracle can't
Bring them back to life.

That's how I am without you.

I'm not an unconditional lover...
No I'm not an unconditional lover. If I don't receive reciprocation I will stop putting efforts. If I find myself helplessly trying single handedly I will stop. If I find my self love and self worth at stake I'll choose to walk out without any delay. If I don't see myself growing positively in this interaction I'll cut you off. Love is a responsibility and if I find it solo instead of mutual I'll choose to unlove. Yes I'm not an unconditional lover.

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH BLUE
What do you do with blue, do you sit at home alone and cry
Go outside, take a breath of the fresh air, appreciate the blue in the sky

What do you do with blue, do you sit around moping and sad
Read a good book, let it take you on an adventure…you won’t feel so bad

What do you do with blue, Do you eat less, or perhaps eat more
Go out and go shopping, buy a new trinket, smile don’t be a bore

What do you do with blue, do you throw yourself a party of pity
Get into your car, then drive...

We don’t all get the chance
Poem #2,690 We don’t all get the chance

We don’t all get the chance to right our wrongs before passing, so with the days I’ve been given above board that remain, I’m going to do better. Do better that is, as it pertains to giving others, as well as myself, my very and absolute best. I know a few brothers of mine, who have long since left this earth, that I’m sure wish they had the chance to say, I’m sorry to some and even yet greater words expressed, I love you to some others. But as that c...

Single thoughts

Watch ing time moving
Is it gaining or losing?
The life i lead
Is it me choosing?

The path im walking
Is it the right one im using?
Every time im talking
Am i healing or bruising?

Confusing emotions oozing
Instead of helping
I am using
Im a winner
But im losing

Painful lessons as life's clues
As we choose choices we were meant to choose

Comfort of midnight

In these lonely nights
I Overthink
An extinguished flame ignites
As i sink
The pain bites
The wounds stink

It burns itself to sleep
Shedding quiet tears
Too heavy to keep
Piercing me with spears
Drowning in liquor that's cheap
Cries too loud for the ears

Absolute silence
But without pleasure
Silent violence
Killing me beyond measure
Mental vigilance
Echoing displeasure

I wish to close my eyes
And rest my mind
Lest i believe in these lies...
