Comfort of midnight

In these lonely nights 
I Overthink 
An extinguished flame ignites
As i sink
The pain bites
The wounds stink

It burns itself to sleep 
Shedding quiet tears 
Too heavy to keep 
Piercing me with spears
Drowning in liquor that's cheap
Cries too loud for the ears

Absolute silence 
But without pleasure 
Silent violence 
Killing me beyond measure
Mental vigilance 
Echoing displeasure

I wish to close my eyes
And rest my mind
Lest i believe in these lies 
As they rewind
Questions without replies 
Im blind
