We sing about rainbows, make and watch movies about rainbows even fantasize about what's at the end of the rainbow. We daydream there's another world at the end of that rainbow a world where we may find a pot of gold. We daydream there's another world at the end of the rainbow where we can have leprechauns to grant our wishes, desires and hopes. Some of us follow the end of the rainbow hoping to follow our dreams. Our dreams to be carefree to transform ourselves to something else such as a bird flying high in the sky being at peace with our environment and ourselves. Not caring, worrying or stressing about tomorrow, who is the next president going to be, what bills we paid or didn't pay, lay-offs or gossip. We can just fly high in the sky following the next rainbow that we see.
Some of us look to the rainbow and dream we are living in a place, world, kingdom where we can live among the leprechauns, fairies, elves, and munchkins. We look to the end of the rainbow and dream we were transported to a place where we can walk the streets safely, where we won't have to lock our doors, where the only cries will be within our laughter. We look to the end of the rainbow and dream we were removed from this world into a place, planet, a Rainbow Valley where black people and white people live together in peace also supporting each other. We look to the end of the rainbow and dream we were in a place such as Rainbow Valley; where there are no wars, men and women despite of our different beliefs, lifestyles and cultures lives in peace and love one another. God created the rainbow after he flooded the whole earth. God not only created the rainbow to symbolize his promise not to flood the earth again but also to symbolize a new beginning. We look to the end of the rainbow and dream of a place where our dreams of new beginnings come true.
