I LOST YOU IN THE RAIN
The rain pouring down in sheets
I lost clarity in the vision of you
Once the clouds encroached
Gone the skies of blue

I lost you in the rain
You, I could no longer see
That day we did depart
I regained a part of me

Winds blew you away that day
In the cyclonic aftermath
Destruction could be viewed
Yet, for me it cleared a path

The rains left stagnant pools
Memories still retained
Letting go of the tainted past
A new life I in turn regained

Now a rainbow of hope
A promi...

WHEN THE WIND DOTH BLOW
It is morning and I arise, before the day has dawned
Thinking about the past, things said…how I respond

My words contain power, they can breathe life into a soul
Personally delivered, carried when the wind doth blow

Through the valley and Meadows, my love is quickly spread
Feel the depth of my emotions, in these words that you have read

For hidden may be the meaning, in the obscurity of my verse
Soothing to your spirit, my words will begin to nurse

Let me heal your heartache and...

MY BELOVED MUSE
I hear the coo of the dove
A haunting song for it’s love
Thou can hear it if thy should choose
My dear…my beloved muse

Harken the sound in the air
Violins with classical flair
Pray tell doth thy hear it too
Now gaze into my mirrors of blue

Thou is the one I dream of
My muse…my only true love
Thou holds the key to my heart
In longing wait…my lips part

Let me lie my head on thy chest
Thrill me with thy sweet caress
I shall reign in thy kingdom with you
For you are my all, my...

THE HANDS THAT LOST LOVE
Hands that were soft, gentle, and sweet
Once caressed, your touch was a treat

You lovingly held my face in those hands
Professing, I was your lady, and you my man

Those manly hands, put a ring on my finger
Your lips met mine, your kiss would linger

Then, our love took a turn, an unforeseen fate
Your eyes lost the love, your orbs turned to hate

Those hands…I adored, soon became weapons
On moment calm, that would change in seconds

Colorful hues, would appear on my face
Your ha...

This Heart, This Wilderness
In this heart, a wilderness resides
The terrain is sparse, no where to hide

Open and exposed, the lion roars
Desperate for coverage, before he scores

His fangs expose, his evil intent
My heart is aflutter, my energy spent

I close my eyes, and I await the attack
I trip and stumble, and fall on my back

I open my eyes, and take in the view
Your visage resembles, a man I once knew

Startled and scared, I cry out in Pain
In your clutches you possess, my soul you have gained

Pi...

FORBIDDEN FRUIT
Do you compare me to Eve, a forbidden fruit, from which you should not partake
I am beautiful, if to consume is sinful, perhaps you should burn me at the stake

I stand before you now, a woman who yearns, for your wanton manly desires
Take me away, on a journey with you, please hurry before our time expires

Together we can create, a garden of our own, take heed of the thorned rose
Dew drops on petals, glisten in the sun, my lips relaxed in sweet repose

Stroll with me, in the moonlit g...

Lost in the Lillies
LOST IN THE LILLIES

She becomes lost in the lilies, in the meadow by a creek
Nearby mountains loom and tower, snow caps their peaks

She dances freely amongst the lilies, growing wild in this dell
Their scents are not that fragrant, devoid of aromatic smell

Yet, the beauty of their colors, paints the perfect scene
A landscape allures the painters brush, so peaceful and serene

The butterflies sanctuary, various species flutter in the air
Sharing the Lillies with the bees, sweet ne...

Mysterious Magical Night
MYSTERIOUS MAGICAL NIGHT

When darkened skies appear, and the billowing clouds do loom
Magic resides in the air, as the full moon begins to bloom

A celestial celebration it is, stars dancing in the sky
In the distance you can hear the wolf, howling it’s cry

Mysterious fairies then appear, flying here and there
Fireflies join the festivities, their glow causing one to stare

What a glorious night it is, shooting stars can be seen
Waters rippling reflection, in the merriment shine an...

The Chill
THE CHILL

The chill in the air, marks the change of seasons
Our love became frozen, I ponder the reason

Like icicles, melting from the branches of trees
Your love, you retracted, you did as you pleased

You left me, on that cold blustery day
You wandered around…you began to stray

I heard you found someone new, to love
now
The ice accumulates, on the oak tree bough

The iced branch, is frozen and heavily laden
I remember when you were my knight, I your maiden

Now, it is...

The Eyes Don’t Lie
THE EYES DON’T LIE

Look deep into my eyes…they will tell you what I think
As I ride the waves of life, telling if I float or sink

Look deeply again, do you see a hint of sorrow?
Is there faith in today, is there hope for my tomorrows

Look yet again, is there a mystery that you detect?
I may lower my gaze, for my secrets I will protect

Look into my eyes, do you see deep seeded fear
I would never admit it, my being scared you’ll not hear

They say they are windows, you see the s...

THE LAST THING
I awaken with you, you lie asleep by my side
You are the breath of my soul, you are the tears I cry

You are the rain that falls, cleansing me from within
You are my muse and my lover… my confidant, my friend

Yet, somewhat distant and far, your love remains
My mind spirals and wanders, it drives me insane

Then rational thoughts, start to creep into my head
The answers on your face …as you lie next to me in bed

I will leave you, with one last thing before I go…
I will be wait...

I BOW MY HEAD
I bow my head, in praise and thanksgiving
Humbled and grateful, for this life worth living

Each day that I have been given, is a precious gift
Each moment I shall honor you…time passes by…seasons shift

The dawning of a new day emerges on the horizon
A gift from the creator, no need for surmising

I bow my head and I marvel, Thankful for my family
I value all my friends… a peaceful existence of harmony

Fortunate, with what has been bestowed onto me…I am blessed
A faithful ste...

THE TIES THAT BIND
The ties that bind us to our past
Are interwoven, memories last

Memories embedded in our mind
Withstanding time, ties that bind

Cool are the waters, rivers run deep
Loved ones visit us, in our sleep

Precious, are these moments in time
Those we love seal… the ties that bind

Our children, are our real legacy
Love guides us through, our disparities

Teach them to be gentle, and to be kind
It’s natural to be human, they will find

With them…will stay values we teach
Gently gui...

BEFORE I GO
Before I go, let me say this…
There will be no last goodbye, there will be no last kiss

No last caress, no burning final touch
No last farewell, No I’ll miss you so much

No cradling your head, against my breast
My hair will not drape, over your bare chest

Before I go, I will not gaze into your eyes
They were but empty pools, you were the master of disguise

Love I freely gave, without hesitation you took
I knew the real meaning, behind your sultry look

I was but a chapter in...

IF I COULD
If I could change my yesterday’s, choosing a better path
Sweep up the rubble, not defined by the aftermath

If I could find a rainbow, at the end of each storm
Find solace in His comfort, bask in His warmth

If I could kiss your soft lips…one last moment in time
Partake of your succulent fruit, your intoxicating wine

If I could feel your eyes, as they penetrate my soul
They could melt the icebergs, at the northern pole

If I could feel your touch, through the breeze in the air
